iLoveAHS Carnival 2014

The annual AHS Carnival was held on 15th March 2014 in our school. The aim of the carnival is to build up the school spirit through working together to raise funds for the Student Development Fund. All the games stalls were set up by the different CCAs and we can see many creative ideas that our students have to attract customers to patronize their stall. The Basketball team also set up a Haunted House which saw a long queue snaking outside the Performing Arts Studio one hour before they opened for business. Our church members, PSG and canteen vendors provided the food for the carnival. All of the food sold on that day is donated by the respective groups and sponsors such as Breadtalk and The Ice Cream Shop. What is unique this year that drew everyone’s attention is the Dunking Machine. For a small price, students get to try their luck in dunking teachers into a pool of water. This was the top attraction this year and drew lots of laughter and cheers from the crowd. Thanks to our brave and willing teachers who sat on the ‘hot seat’ all for the sake of fund raising.

We showed strong school spirit through the combined efforts of many different groups of stakeholders. We look forward to the involvement of more members of the AHS Family in 2015!
