As part of our SG50 celebrations, Singapore hosted the 2015 World Schools Debating Championships (WSDC). Anglican High School is a key WSDC partner and hosted the preliminary round on 29 July 2015. AHS saw an unprecedented number of international top debaters from 12 countries competing on our school grounds. These countries included Argentina, the Czech Republic, Qatar, Macau, New Zealand, Pakistan, South Korea, Nigeria, South Africa, Bermuda, Philippines and Malaysia. The judges for the round came from Mexico, Netherlands, Wales, Hongkong, Australia, and many more.

|A rousing Wushu performance opened the proceedings and amazed the delegates||Sun Wen from the Chinese Orchestra delighted the participants with his rendition of黄土情|
|Speakers Club members chaired the debates||Our students ready to serve!|
The key learning for our students who spectated the matches was to understand that strong critical thinking and good oratorical skills are universally prized. For students who served as Chairpersons and timekeepers, it was an eye-opening experience never to be forgotten.
