National Day

The school’s annual National Day, Partners’ Day and Student Leader’s Investiture was held on 8 August 2018.

We kick-started with the celebrations with our annual tree planting ceremony with our school stakeholders, witnessed by our graduating Secondary 4 students, to remember that their holistic development would not have been possible without everyone’s support.

Our celebrations then proceeded on to commemorate and celebrate National Day with our Parade and Ceremony, followed by a performance helmed by the Chinese and English Drama clubs, together with the Clubs and Societies to give a tribute to our fellow Singaporeans in their contribution, using the Recollections as the backbone of our storyline.

Some of the highlights of the celebrations included performances from Choir, Band, Dance, Precision Drill Squad from National Cadet Corps and a new highlight was the Parade Inspection. Through these celebrations, students understand that Singapore’s independence and survival is hard fought and must never be taken for granted.

The outgoing Secondary 4 Student Leaders also handed over a symbolic item to their incoming Secondary 3 juniors, showing a constant development of leaders and leadership renewal.

All these celebrations were witnessed by some of the elderly residents from the Fengshan Community, hosted by students from Secondary 3A. They learnt that it is important to remember to contribute back to our community.
